September.... What September
So has anyone else noticed the fact that it is now the END of September? What happened to it? This month has obviously been extremely busy as I hardly even noticed that it was coming rapidly to an end! (That combined with the fact that I am sick are sure signs). As I know but really don't want, nor like to admit I am stuck right smack in the middle of the rat race! Traffic going to work is just stupid! I heard a stat on the radio the other day that said there are 26 000 more vehicles on the road right now than there were this time last year! WHAT!!! Where did these people come from? So once again I am in search of a job closer to home! (of course that process will last about the next 2-3 weeks until I realize that I really need to stay where I am until next year!)
Over the past month and a bit we have said good-bye to two sets of our close friends as they moved away and we have taken on a new pet named luci. We figured we would start with something that only needs to be fed every two weeks before we move any closer to having kids! We have also started youth again at church every Monday night. Dan's guys are in grade twelve this year and my girls are in grade 11. I am starting to feel really old! I also got to experience my first ever MCC sale! What an array of menno food and people, I can't believe the amount of verenike that can be cooked for so many people in such a small amount of time!
Last week was also full of emotions. Dans grandma had been getting sick lately so on Sept 17 we went over to her house to see how she was doing. She wasn't well, but Dan was able to go into her room and give her a hug and tell her how much we love her. They had a short but wonderful conversation and then at 4:25am on Sept 18 she passed away. Dan was the last gandkid (out of 49) to speak to her and I am so thankful that he had the chance. On Friday Sept 22 it was Dan's 27th birthday but it was also the day of the funeral, so needless to say it was one of the hardest emotional days we have had! A few too many ups and downs. I did learn however that there is a road in Mission named after his grandparents...PENNER AVE. But with that behind us this week has been better! (minus a run in that we had with a neighbor! We will have to tell you that story in person)
All in all it's been a good month, too fast but good and now on to THANKSGIVING!!! BRING ON THE TURKEY!! And my friend Heather is coming back to town for the weekend (minus Chris which is too bad) so that will be great!

Wow. Reading that makes me miss you guys even more than I did. Sorry to hear about Dan's grandmother, and sorry we weren't able to be there for Dan's birthday. It's harder to read about those things because we can't be there and experience them with you, but it's reality because of course we can't experience everything with you in life. Talk to you soon k. (And don't forget to tell us about the neighbour story)
You have crazy neighbours? How come I haven't heard this? I'm the queen of crazy neighbours - remember?
