What happens in Abbotsford when it snows

So Dan and I drove from our house to Canadian Tire this afternoon (about 10km) and I just happened to have the camera with me to catch some of the more crazy things that happened in the snow!

Maybe he should get snow tires for his bike!

Shorts?!! All for the sake of fashion!

This guy was hitch hiking in the middle of town at five corners!

This is what happens when five cars try to go up a slippery hill without snow tires! If you look really close at the top you can see that one of them is ponted backwards! We tried to go around a different way but ended up running into three cars who just decided to stop when they couldn't get up the hill. Has any one ever thought of getting out and trying to push?

November snow storm

We woke up this morning to a few inches of snow and had to take advantage of it! I love the snow!! I know that to all you prarie people this much snow happened at the end of August but none the less I am rather excited!

Our new addition

We would like to introduce the newest member of the penner vehicle family....little yoda! He's a 2001 Tacoma that came home with us on Saturday. Yes that means that we are getting rid of the green machine! Our little civic went out with a BANG and a blaze of glory last wednesday when Dan was driving home from work. He drove up Mckee Rd with smoke billowing out of the hood and the tailpipe and then just as he rounded the corner, little civic stop running all together! Dan had to put his foot out the door and try and push the car flinstone style! She is however going to a good home that will use her for parts and all the profits go to buying cars for single moms. Dan does enjoy little yoda much more than the old teal princess! We would be happy to take any of you for a lovely ride anytime! (I really like driving it too so Dan and I will probably fight over the keys more often than not)

We Survived Winterpeg!

Well we left Thursday afternoon to head to sunny but cold Winnipeg to visit Chris and Heather. It was a great relaxing weekend filled with tours of the peg (including the legislative buildings), coffee, candy, walking (yes Dan even ventured outside!) movies, ultimate fighting (of which Heather and I could not stop giggling), more candy and great conversations. I haven't laughed that much in a long time and most of it was at the expense of Heather or myself! Oh I almost forgot Dan's favourite part... PURPLE CITY! It is something you must experience and you can't really explain! There is a lot to be said about sharing in the lives of your friends and seeing where they are when they live far away. Thanks guys for a great weekend!
